New NSFW featurette for Seth MacFarlane's TED with Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis

Jun. 22, 2012by: Paul Shirey

Seth MacFarlane's fuzzy, foul-mouthed teddy bear movie TED, starring Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis, and MacFarlane as the titular charcter, is headed your way this month (courtesy of G.I. JOE: RETALIATION giving up its spot) and today we have a NSFW featurette that explores the relationship between the various characters with plenty of drug use, profanity, and sexual innuendo to boot.

Take a look:

I'm on the fence with TED. I definitely think it looks funny, but I'm just not quite sure if it's going to be able to pull the whole thing off. The talking teddy bear gimmick could either be hilariously briliant or get obnoxiously annoying. We'll all probably know within the first fifteen minutes. Also, while there's a lot of love for Family Guy, there's also a lot of vitriol for it. Could be a tough sell for the non-fans.

Here's the synopsis:

Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane brings his boundary-pushing brand of humor to the big screen for the first time as writer, director and voice star of TED. In the liveaction/CG-animated comedy, he tells the story of John Bennett (Mark Wahlberg), a grown man who must deal with the cherished teddy bear who came to life as the result of a childhood wishand has refused to leave his side ever since.

TED jumps into your loving arms and lights up a blunt on June 29, 2012.

Is anyone else having trouble getting the video to play right?

I can only hear the sound. No video.

Looks hysterical...

Even heard some early reviews that it's pretty good too. ESPECIALLY if you're a fan of Family Guy. I'm there opening day.

I saw this movie last night and I thought it was pretty hilarious, I don't think you have to be a Family Guy fan at all to like this movie as the comedy is very different. I would say give it a shot to all of those on the fence.

Saw this a few weeks ago at a sneak peek, and I laughed a lot. I'm not a fan of "Family Guy" or Seth MacFarlane, but I do like my stoner comedies, and that's what this is. It also didn't hurt that the movie has a Flash Gordon (yup, the great and cheesy 80's movie) theme running through it. The only thing I didn't like was the Giovanni Ribessi subplot. Other than that, I'm going to go see it again when it comes out.

the only reason I will check it out is because its Seth MacFarlane's movie directing debut, and while I'm not a fan of Family Guy, i do find American Dad to be gut-hurting hilarious. The only thing I'm worried is that this will suffer from what Paul suffered from, an alien (or in this case, a teddy bear) who swears a lot can only be funny for so long.

Honestly, you kind of forget he's a stuffed toy about 20 minutes in. He just becomes another one of those screwed up roommates or friends we've all had in college or our early 20's.
