New images and behind the scenes pictures from Sam Raimi's Evil Dead

Although a lot of people have warmed up to the EVIL DEAD remake since the film was first announced, I still think that I'd be just as excited if it was an original horror movie without the EVIL DEAD connection. If the movie's plot was changed slightly and was called DARK CABIN instead, would we still be talking about how awesome it looks? Would there be less enthusiasm because it's not EVIL DEAD or more because it's a new (although not unique) story that is being told? That doesn't mean I'm NOT looking forward to another trip to the cabin, but it's unfortunate when it seems like "name brand" trumps "originality."
FilmoFilia has some new images and behind the scenes pictures for "the most terrifying film you will ever experience." None of the pictures will probably change your mind about how you feel about the movie, but if you're pretty psyched for the new EVIL DEAD, this just adds more fuel to the fire.
EVIL DEAD crawls creepily into theaters April 5th, 2013.

Extra Tidbit: It's a tough call with Raimi - he's probably still got a few decent horror movies in him, but does he want that any more? It would be nice to think he did Oz to win back some big studio cred and that it will do well enough for him to be allowed to try something different, but I don't know if it'll be that big a hit. Personally I think he could do a really messed up time travel movie - we saw aspects of it in Army of Darkness, especially the alternate ending. I think he has Gilliam levels of craziness in him if he could find the right project.
