New poster and images for Michael Bay's Pain and Gain with Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne Johnson
Michael Bay gets a lot of (rightfully deserved) flak from most hardcore film geeks but his new film PAIN AND GAIN might ease some of that ill will many have towards the director. At least until NINJA TURTLES comes out.
If I had to use two words to describe the marketing for PAIN AND GAIN it would be "America" and "muscles". Both are evident once again in this final poster for the film that stars Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne Johnson and Anthony Mackie. Although clearly Wahlberg was a little self-conscious and opted to wear a long sleeve shirt instead of having to compete with Johnson's massive guns.
There's also been a wide variety of pictures released for the film and they cover everything from Michael Bay directing to some of the other stars of the flick like Tony Shalhoub, Ed Harris, Rebel Wilson and Ken Jeong so check them out below.
I know it has been mentioned multiple times but the film is based on an absolutely fantastic series of articles by the Miami based newspaper New Times. I've read through them all and the criminals played by Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne Johnson and Anthony Mackie were essentially more muscular (and terrifying) versions of the Trailer Park Boys. While I think the film will be a lot lighter in tone than the actual events I think PAIN AND GAIN could be a blast and it looks like the funnest film Michael Bay has made in years.
PAIN AND GAIN will pump you up on April 26th, 2013.
|Extra Tidbit:||How many of you have read the articles? What parts of the insane but true story do you think will be left out of PAIN AND GAIN?|
