New posters for The Defenders & The Punisher burst onto the scene

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

Now that GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY 2 and SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING have both officially hit theaters there’s only one Marvel movie left this year – THOR: RAGNAROK. If that gives you sad feelings you need only remember there are two new Marvel shows heading to Netflix this year – THE DEFENDERS and THE PUNISHER. To celebrate their impending release Comic-Con will be distributing two new posters for fans to grab and have signed. If you can’t attend the festivities then you can at least take a look at the artwork below. The first has the whole team including Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter and Finn Jones, while the final has no one but Jon Bernthal because The Punisher doesn't need anyone else. See, now you don’t have to feel left out!

THE PUNISHER poster – which was drawn by Marvel Entertainment Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada – will be available on July 21 at 3:30 p.m. at the Marvel booth, while THE DEFENDERS one will be offered on July 22 at 10 a.m., also at the Marvel booth, and both will be followed by a signing from the shows’ stars.

I wouldn’t mind getting my hands on either of those posters, but I gotta say my favorite has to be for THE PUNISHER. Maybe it’s because we’ve already seen a fair amount of DEFENDERS, and PUNISHER is still cloaked in a veil of mystery, but overall the artistry of the PUNISHER one has the minimalist impact I love. But I wouldn’t balk at getting either one, and maybe some who are going to Comic-Con will be willing to stand in line to get both. To the victors go the spoils!

THE DEFENDERS arrives August 18 and THE PUNISHER follows this fall.
