New Prometheus featurette with awesome behind-the-scenes footage

A new featurette for Ridley Scott's PROMETHEUS has landed online and has a shit-ton of awesome behind-the-scenes footage, none of which will spoil the movie for you.  I don't know, maybe it's just because we're all so pumped to see it that anything is great, but this is really cool.  Just to see and hear Ridley Scott directing is a sight to behold.  The man's been directing for close to 50 years now, so one can imagine how much insight he has into the craft.

What I think is truly great about this featurette is seeing how much Ridley shoots practically, which he's traditionally done.  To me, Ridley Scott is the only filmmaker to blend reality with effects in a seamless way.  It is a rare thing to spot what's real and what isn't in his films.

Okay, enough hero worship.  Get on with the featurette:

PROMETHEUS opens on June 8, 2012.

Awesome.

But I think Nolan and Fincher also do a pretty good job hiding CGI (when they even use it).

Shitting my pants and crying at the same time. Every breath I take smells like Prometheus.

Damn, that scream thing gets me every time. It's so eerie.

Anyways, I think Zack Snyder does the best job at hiding cgi (kidding)

I think Fincher does the best job at hiding his usage of CGI in his films. I still can't get over the scene in Inception where Leonardo is showing Page's character about the dream and they walk up that wall, it just looked so bad. But Ridley Scott is indeed a master of sci-fi, I wonder why it took him so long to return.
