New Riddick concept art reveals a mouth watering jackal

I know many of you are interested in the next installment of the Riddick Chronicles. So I thought I might pass along some new concept art that Vin Diesel recently posted on his Facebook page.

The creature you see below is a rather nicely detailed jackal. Diesel wrote this under the photo, “Riddick art…Very proud to be working with this team of artists. P.s. Holiday spirit… yet the Furyan calls…

Usually I wouldn’t share a single piece of concept art but I thought this one actually pretty cool. It’s also interesting to see what ideas they are putting out there for the film.

Here’s the synopsis for the next installment: “Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick (Diesel) fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to his home planet of Furya to save it from destruction.”
