New set footage and images from Joss Whedon’s Avengers: Age of Ultron

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Joss Whedon is currently filming AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON at the University of East Anglia campus in Norwich, England, and a set video and several images from the shoot have landed online. Both Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth are in costume in the video below, and there is also a group of extras in blue uniforms. I'll get to the identity of the extras after the video and set images, because some might consider it to be a mild spoiler.

Take a look:

Sources described the extras wearing the blue uniforms as "Avengers Recruits," and these could be the first class of new S.H.I.E.L.D. agents since H.Y.D.R.A. f*cked things up in CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER and Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. We already know Stark Tower will likely be the new headquarters for The Avengers, but will it also be the base of operations for S.H.I.E.L.D.?

Several sources from the set say they also saw Samuel L. Jackson, Elizabeth Olsen, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Anthony Mackie and B.J. Britt in costume, and apparently the Iron Patriot armor was spotted as well, however there was no sign of Don Cheadle.

This year's Comic-Con in San Diego will kick off in a little over a month, and I'm very excited to see what will be shown for AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON. Hopefully if there's some footage it'll end up online. I don't mind reading about descriptions of very cool sounding scenes, but obviously I'd much rather see it for myself.

AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON will be in theaters on May 1, 2015.
