New set photos confirm Batman confrontation with The Joker in Suicide Squad
The other day, set photos confirmed that next year's SUICIDE SQUAD would feature the Batmobile involved in a chase with Jared Leto's The Joker. Now, new photos confirm that we will physically see Batman himself in David Ayer's villain-centric comic book movie.
JustJared has shared a bunch of photos showing Ben Affleck's stunt double clinging to the top of The Joker's car as he and Harley Quinn evade the Dark Knight. While the photos confirm we will see Batman, it doesn't necessarily mean that it will be Affleck himself. I would think it would be a waste of the character not to have him appear on screen, but if this is just a flashback sequence to how The Joker ends up in jail, we may not need more than the cowl on screen.
What is evident from these photos is the detail on the Batsuit. So far, we have seen the officially released stills of the new Batman costume, but these action shots give us an idea of how it will look in action. Plus, as you can tell from the red dots, the cape will be added in post-production. Here's hoping David Ayer brings a different visual aesthetic than Zack Snyder to mix up how the DC Universe looks on screen.
SUICIDE SQUAD hits theaters on August 5, 2016.
