New Sherlock pics!

05.06.2009

The first SHERLOCK HOLMES trailer will debut in front of TERMINATOR SALVATION in two weeks but that doesn't mean you'll have to wait that long to see anything cool from the film. USA Today has debuted 10 new pics from the film. There's plenty more than what you see below but you'll have to click to see the rest.

Though it's hard to make up your mind simply based on a few production stills, have you liked what you've seen so far? Despite my utter faith in anything Robert Downey, Jr. lays his hands on, I remain skeptical. I know some people liked ROCKNROLLA but I haven't been satisfied by a Guy Ritchie movie in some time. Let me know what you think below...

Extra Tidbit: There were rumors that WB was unhappy with the film and ordered five more weeks of shooting but producer Joel Silver emphatically denies that claim.

Not Elementary

Nope. Sorry, horrible casting on this one. May be fun just for what it will end up, but NOT a serious Holmes film in my book. I like everyone involved, don't get me wrong. Watch Rupert Everet in the recent PBS thing to see a near perfect incarnation.

Liking what we've got so far. Can't wait for that trailer, since that silent footage from the Oscars can't really be judged.

Two things:
a) Not enough Rachel.
b) Watson better have the line, "No shit, Sherlock" (joking)

The version of the script I read was really cool and spot on and the depiction of Sherlock Holmes is very bad ass. I think this film will surprise a lot of people in a great way.

I personally love their concept of these characters. I'll hold off on my judgement of the film's aesthetics until the trailer is released.

Sherlock Holmes and Watson are not these dirty looking guys. Hell, Watson was an officer in the military. I love Sherlock, but I just don't think they have the right idea about whats going down with this. English Gentlemen. Not a couple of bums

With respect to all parties involved...I simply don't know what audience they hope to grab with this. Guy Ritchie hasn't made a movie for a wide audience except for "Swept Away". Sherlock Holmes, man of reason and deduction, throwing punches? Played by an American??
Also - The last time anyone has tried to "modern-up" Victorian England has fallen on their ass. Remember "League of Extraordinary Gentleman" or "From Hell"?

I can't wait for this movie to come out. I've been dieing for a trailer and now I will finally get the chance to see it in a few weeks.

By the way, Robert Downey Jr is going to kick ass as Sherlock Holmes. This movie is going to rock and I am even looking forward to this movie then any of the summer movies....true story.

Ignore NoirMan Sampson, you're opinions are welcome.

As for the flick, I'm in, simply bc of the cast.

Seriously, Sampson...

...must you interject your half-witted opinions in every post?
