New TDK TV spot

06.12.2008

This is my 5,310 post on this site about THE DARK KNIGHT, and I believe James Thoo just cracked the 5,000 mark earlier this week. There’s still a little over a month for him to catch up to me, but it’s going to be a tough battle. Remember, the person who writes the most DARK KNIGHT stories by the film’s July 18th release date has to make love to Tiffany Amber Thiessen. New DARK KNIGHT TV spot everyone, check it out BELOW.

Wasn't a great spot but like the ther guys say, this works for not giving away too much. I hope they don't even release clips cause I won't watch them

Well that sucked...majorly

I haven't really been pumped about a movie this much before...the only competition Dark Knight has for me is Wall*E...but that little TV spot SUCKED MAJOR ASS... that looked as if it was edited and the clips chosen were done by a 3 year old. What a shitty TV spot...good god run one of the older ones over that piece of shit.

That is the first piece of marketing for the film that has given me negative feelings...sad.

TDK=greatness

Like the previous comments, I hate seeing too much of the movie in the previews. Indy4 showed too much in its tv spots, which disappointed me.

God, grant me the strength to change the channel if I see a dark knight preview giving away too many details.

The lamborghini joke reminds me a lot of the marketing they did with Batman Begins, a lot of the marketing included the "You should see my other car" and "Does it come in black?" ad nauseum so I think we're safe here. I'd be more worried if every trailer they released had a new jokey bit... it seems more likely there just isn't that many beats of humour in it...which I'm fine with. That said, it was a poorly put together Spot.

I love you TDK

I agree with darkface and buffers below.. this is doing exactly what it should be. Not releasing some major plot points and crazy scenes, but reusing what we already saw... it'll make the movie THAT MUCH better. I'm pretty sure Iron Man showed a clip from every action scene in the movie in their trailer... which gave me very little suprise in the movie (even tho I loved it). I wanna be shocked and see some awesome shit

awesome

These tv spots are doing exactly what they should be doing. They're re-using the same footage from the trailer, and still getting you hyped for the film. The more that's saved for the theatre, the better.

Personally I don't mind if they keep re-using the same footage because it means there will be far more new stuff when I go and see it.

So, in other words, it's the same TV spot with 3 seconds of new footage at the beginning?

And the repeated Lamborghini joke is [link] my buzz for this movie.

Yeah..

I'm confident the movie will be good, but these spots are annoying and don't show much we haven't already seen.

lamborghini

OK we get it with the freakin lamborghini joke. It was bad enough the first time around. Do we need it in every single piece of advertising?
