UPDATE - The bootleg was removed and a standard version has been updated with a HD version online here. Now that's more like it!

The new trailer for TERMINATOR SALVATION is set to debut in theaters with THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL this Friday but courtesy of our Japanese friends you can see it a little early. As in now. It's probably not how you would want to see your TERMINATOR SALVATION trailer but it should tide you over until it's online in HD. I've got to say, even in this sucky quality it looks pretty damn good. Though I must admit that Christian Bale's gravitas is getting a little old. Lighten up dude. Anyway, check it out below and check back later this week for a better copy...

It looks really great, but hopefully it doesn't have that rumored ending which was AWFUL. Action looks cool, Bale is a badass, and the new terminators looks interesting. Plus Bryce Dallas Howard is amazing.

I really liked this, and hopefully it redeems the terminator franchise after that tv show. It doesn't look like the future portrayed in the first 3 movies (which were always dark/night?) but maybe that comes later on ina sequel.

People will continually complain about this film, but it looks great to me. For anyone saying the film looks nothing like it did in Terminator and T2 than you've obviously missed some points. Because this film is the first in a trilogy and on top of that those films were made in the 80's you really expect them to produce the cgi effects they really wanted to?

I'm still not sure, but a little more willing to hope after having seen this.



Still hate Bryce Dallas Howard and Helena Bonham Carter, though. I think I'd be slightly happier if neither was ever in a movie again.

Meh. Looks, as another poster said, really generic. Nice pallete of brown, gray, and gray-brown. Overall it seems to be turning Terminator into just another action franchise. Whatever. Looks generic as hell. Plus the whole "we can shit on the previous films because this is a different future" is such a fucking bullshit excuse. This film look like 'Reign of Fire' 2.

Termintor 3 Was Incredibly Important
I don't get the all encompassing absolute hate for T3. Not only was it a decent action film (obviously it wasn't the quality of the previous Terminator films but on its own regard it was decent - even James Cameron liked it) but it introduced one of the most important plot elements of the entire Terminator universe. Which was that you cannot stop the future events from happening. You can...
I don't get the all encompassing absolute hate for T3. Not only was it a decent action film (obviously it wasn't the quality of the previous Terminator films but on its own regard it was decent - even James Cameron liked it) but it introduced one of the most important plot elements of the entire Terminator universe. Which was that you cannot stop the future events from happening. You can change small details of HOW it will go down (like how John met his future wife, Kate, at a different time in T3 because of the events that took place in T2 that didn't originally take place) but ultimately you are the victim of your own destiny - a future that has already happened.



The show and these new movies have been trying to disregard T3 primary events because as a whole the movie was so linear that now they feel they really don't need to include it for things to fit, yet you have to notice that they are STILL keeping with the "future is unchangeable" theme that T3 created. Even in the show Sarah Connor dying of cancer is the inevitable future (she's not alive in T4 which confirms this and stays with T3 continuity). Connors wife, Kate, still exists but the events that lead up to her meeting John were changed (more T3 continuity). Etc.



T3 was a VERY important part of the Terminator universe whether you want to admit it or not.

I saw this on Ain't it Cool earlier today and I must say it does look good to me. I'm really looking forward to this flick.



@ razgriz21, isn't this flick supposed to take place during the beginning of the future shown in the first two movies? Hence "The End Begins" tagline. So it would make sense that it doesn't look like the first two movies because the war is just starting,...

Daydreamer, I don't know if you can call yourself a "big fan" just because you thought the trailer looked cool, but I get what you mean. I have a lot of friends who aren't really fans of the series, and yet are still really looking forward to this.

i was never a huge fan of the terminator the first 2 where cool and all but it just never grabbed me and pulled me in (blame swartsanigger) and the 3rd was just crap but this trailer alone made me a big fan cant wait to see it bale is the man

That looks great. Better than 3, and maybe even close to what the 2nd one was? difficult to say right now. but it looks like a decent action flick, if nothing else. Anticipation just went up like 5 notches.

This series died with Arnold for me... it just isn't terminator anymore.
