New trailer and poster for The Adventures of Tintin promise an old-fashioned good time!

Oct. 18, 2011by:

This is it. This is the trailer that will sell American audiences on a property most don't know or give a damn about.

This new trailer for Steven Spielberg's THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN is the most classically Spielbergian yet, with its great displays of both quiet and grand adventure, tense and humorous peril, and all peppered with wonderful character. Oh, and that John Williams score! The film's already getting good word-of-mouth in Europe which is starting to spread over here. And while I've been on board since the start simply because of the talent involved, it's this trailer that's finally gotten me genuinely excited for the stuff I'm actually seeing.

THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN opens December 21st.

Synopsis: Paramount Pictures and Columbia Pictures Present "The Adventures of Tintin" directed by Steven Spielberg from a screenplay by Steven Moffat and Edgar Wright & Joe Cornish. Starring Jamie Bell ("Billy Elliot," "Defiance") as Tintin, the intrepid young reporter whose relentless pursuit of a good story thrusts him into a world of high adventure, and Daniel Craig ("Quantum of Solace," "Defiance") as the nefarious Red Rackham.

TINTIN is Spielberg's best work for a very long time.
The action scenes have a very RAIDERS vibe, technically the PERFORMANCE capture avoid, for the most part, the "dead eyes syndrome" of the MOTION capture, the end of the movie calls for a sequel without being a cliffhanger... One of the best surprise of the moment!

It's a good thing they removed the subtitled "The Secret of the Unicorn", people could have thought there were actually unicorns in the movie, not knowing its the name of the ship.

It looks like what we hoped Indiana Jones 4 would be.

Looking suitably epic. Here's to Tintin being embraced by a whole new generation of fans.

Hugely psyched for the movie. Old-school adventure through the eyes of Spielberg and Jackson.

badass trailer

I am all for anything Spielberg, and this trailer does a good job at bringing back the old school action, I am pumped for this.
