UPDATED: New trailer for James Wan's The Conjuring with Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga may steal some of your sleep

UPDATE: Trailer is back online! Take a look below!

Director James Wan is delivering a double dose of horror this year with the one-two punch of THE CONJURING and INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER 2 and today we have a new trailer for the former. Starring Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga as a pair of real-life paranormal investigators who find themselves confronting a powerful ghostly force at a farm house owned by The Warrens, played by Lili Taylor and Ron Livingston. The movie looks frightening as Hell as is, which is compounded in the trailer by the real-life people telling their stories over it. Great concept!

Take a look (if you dare!):

Here's the synopsis:

Paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren work to help a family terrorized by a dark presence in their farmhouse. Forced to confront a powerful entity, the Warrens find themselves caught in the most terrifying case of their lives.

Yeah, I'm gonna be honest here, I had straight heebie-jeebies going up and down my back watching this trailer. Anytime you throw "based on a true story" in there and then have the folks it actually happened to speak about it, then you can bet your ass my eyes will go a little wide with terror. So, yeah, definitely have to see this one. I'll wear a Depends, just in case.

THE CONJURING starts scaring the shit out of audiences on July 19, 2013.

very under appreciated director. I have enjoyed all of his movies, like his style & they are genuinely scary & entertaining. glad to see him getting bigger movies like Fast & Furious 7 he deserves it. On the tidbit I am looking forward to both, the first Insidious was very scary for a PG-13.

My biggest problems with these endless haunted house movies is that the story structure is always the same beat for fucking beat.
The only reason "I'm neutral on this for now" is because of James Wan. Saw, Death Sentence and Insidious bought the man ample credit.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOORING!

Based on a true story! Things coming out of dark corners suddenly! Bodies flipping around rooms! People laying in beds with backs arching and heads craning back with mouths opening wide in possession! Lili Taylor in another horror move that has a present participle! This will more than likely make 120 million dollars off a 13 million budget.

I love James Wan. His career is going so well. His horror movies are different and away from the things we are used to being seen in a while.
