New trailer for Lars Von Trier's Nymphomaniac: Vol II is as odd as the rest
NSFW advisement in effect here.
Another trailer has rolled in for Lars Von Trier's now two-part saga for NYMPHOMANIAC: VOLUME II, which chronicles the "continuation of Joe's (Charlotte Gainsbourg) sexually dictated life delves into the darker aspects of her adult life and what led to her being in Seligman's (Stellan Skarsgard) care." The first part of the film premiered at Sundance as a "secret" screening and was received pretty well (currently at 100 percent on RT). There's no doubt about it, the film has definitely got some strange, if not titillating, appeal, which continues to grow in this new trailer for the second act.
Take a look:
I can't say I'm excited for either parts of this, but I can say that I'm intrigued. Say what you will about the content or the filmmaker, but it's definitely got appeal. With a cast that includes Charlotte Gainsbourg, Stellan Skarsgard, Uma Thurman, Connie Nielsen, Mia Goth, Stacy Martin, Shia LeBeouf, Willem Dafoe, Jamie Bell, and Christian Slater, this is definitely a film that will garner some attention, even if it's just from the privacy of home. Honestly, sitting in a theater and watching this would have to be an uncomfortable experience. It was bad enough watching THE WOLF OF WALL STREET with so many people gasping at every sex scene and F-bomb, I could only imagine sitting in a theater for this.
NYMPHOMANIAC: VOLUME II has a limited theatrical run on April 18, 2014 (have fun with that) and will debut on VOD on April 3, 2014.
