New trailer for Sylvester Stallone's Bullet to the Head is a lot like the last

Oct. 29, 2012by: Paul Shirey

Well, I wish I could say this new trailer for Sylvester Stallone's BULLET TO THE HEAD will rock your world and make you see the film in a whole new light, but it's unlikely that will happen.  However, that doesn't necessarily mean that it's the worst thing you'll see today.  In fact, it's got a bit more energy than the first trailer.  Don't expect to see massive amounts of new footage, though.  Walter Hill's first film in ten years doesn't look to be what you'd call the perfect comeback vehicle, but does have a lot of boom, smash, bam to at least be a rollicking good time.

Have a look:

I have to admit that after the initial disappointment of the first trailer, this is growing on me.  Having a Walter Hill film back in theaters was a kick ass prospect to me, so perhaps I built myself up too much, but now I've settled into the likely snoozer of a story and am now banking on some old-school action.  That should be enough, right?

Here's the synopsis:  Based on the graphic novel, "Bullet to the Head" tells the story of a New Orleans hitman (Stallone) and a New York City cop who form an alliance to bring down the killers of their respective partners.

BULLET TO THE HEAD, starring Stallone, Sung Kang, Jason Mamoa, Christian Slater, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, and Sarah Shahi, hits theaters on February 1, 2013.

Fingers crossed for goodness. I'm ONLY into this because of Walter Hill.

80's called. They want Stallone back. To me the Bourne movies set the bar for modern action flicks. And they showed that action flicks can be intelligent. If I want to have my brain numbed, I'd just watch House Wives of New Jersey. Skyfall or this? I'll take Skyfall thank you. Oh and I was a kid of the 80's. :)

Liked it better than the first trailer

This looks like it could be a fun throwback action flick, i wasnt that impressed by the first trailer but this one looked a little leaner and meaner, still miss Tom Jane though.

Another trailer showing way to much.

Seriously did they need to tell you the outcome of the Slater role in the trailers. Probably would have had a better payoff if people where seeing that for the first time in the theater.

It's really bothering me how much they're down-playing the buddy angle of this thing. Jason Momoa looks to be worthy adversary, but Walter Hill's name is the only thing that has me remotely interested at this point.
