New TV Spot for The Dark Knight Rises throttles up the banter between Batman and Catwoman

06.29.2012

A new TV spot for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES has arrived and features the most back-and-forth banter between Batman and Catwoman we've seen thus far and it further clarifies that the two will, in fact, be working together at some point in the film.  Christopher Nolan's Batfilms aren't heavy on humor, but certainly have their moments and it's nice to see that THE DARK KNIGHT RISES isn't going to be completely doom-and-gloom.

Ouch:

The more I see, the more excited I get.  I have a feeling that this film is going to deliver one of the most satisfying conclusions of any trilogy.  That's a bold statement, but it's just a gut feeling.  I think there is a simmering doubt from some who feel that it won't live up to the hype with the absence of Ledger's Joker or the inclusion of Hathaway as Catwoman, etc.  I get the opposite feeling.

We are about three weeks out at this point and anticipation couldn't be higher.  Remember when we were three weeks out from THE AVENGERS?  I'm gettin' that old feelin' again...

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES opens on July 20, 2012.

Extra Tidbit: Who's seeing the whole Bat-trilogy on July 19? I haven't enlisted just yet, but man, it's enticing...

FACT- Women super heroes/villains don't work on screen

Super Girl, Cat woman (both), Batgirl, all female cast in every X-Men movie and even Black Widow were all a big FAILs on screen. I can't be the only one who thinks Catwomen looks ridiculous in this movie.

JOBLO, BRING BACK THE SIDEBAR

I love this sight and have frequented it for years. I love the new changes in aesthetic but getting rid of the sidebar was such a mistake. It takes to find news and what I always liked most about joblo (compared to the many other competing movie news sites) was the easy accessibility of information and convenience in design. That is gone now, and judge me as you will, I have been visiting the site less because of the new changes. Maybe I am lazy or impatient in getting used to the new

My anticipation has definately been a slow burn for this one, but I have to say it rises with every new trailer or clip. As opposed to my anticipation for the Dark Knight, which was about peaked when the first Joker pics were released. I was worried about Bane living up the the Joker, but honestly the Joker dominated that movie so much that the rest of the characters (including batman) seemed to take a back seat. I can remember sitting through it the first couple of times just waiting for

I'm kind of expecting my focus to be more on the overall story in this one rather than a particular character.

Love it... but why?

Why doesn't he talk in his normal voice around Anne? Especially when they are alone and she knows who he is. Him talking to criminals in that voice makes sense, but its like weird when he is alone with her...

Think of it like an actor whos in character. If you remember the scene in The Dark Knight at the dinner party where just before the jokes bursts in and Bruce finds out that they're coming for Harvey dent he says "They've come for him" to rachel in his Batman voice. This shows how easy he can switch from bruce to batman; almost like an animal whos just been startled. The switch over to batman isnt just the costume, its the mindset along with the voice. Hope that clears it up.

Such a fabulous set of curves on that woman. She makes the movie worth seeing even if you're not a Baman fan.
