New Wonder Woman TV spot shows Gal Gadot kicking ass & blocking bullets

08.01.2016

The one thing DC has over Marvel is a lack of subtlety. Unlike the latter, who hide their movies under a veil of secrecy until the very last moment, DC goes balls-out the second the zipper is down. Take a look at Comic-Con for instance. They unveiled a full trailer for JUSTICE LEAGUE a good year and a half before it comes out, and a WONDER WOMAN one early enough for someone to have a baby before being able to buy tickets.

Now, so soon after the WONDER WOMAN trailer dropped, a TV spot for the flick has surfaced, and although it’s much of the same footage as the Comic-Con trailer, we do get to see some Chris Pine reigning Hell on enemies via the airplane they used to take down King Kong.

Watch below and play the game “Can You Spot the Difference?”

I’m all for “new” footage, but this footage isn’t exactly “new”, is it? And a TV spot? Really? Is Warner Bros. gonna air this footage alongside new episodes of MODERN FAMILY for eight months? It seems like a rush by the studio to get stuff on the web so as to build anticipation for the movie, and possibly so fans won’t forget it exists. But trust me, Warner Bros., we won’t forget this movie. Did you see that first trailer? That’s good enough to hold us over for some time. So how about you leave it alone a bit, let the mystery resettle in, and don’t over-expose your flick like it’s Macklemore, okay?

WONDER WOMAN starring Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen and Robin Wright on June 2, 2017

Why in the hell is there already a TV spot for a movie 10 months away? DC, chill.

Looking Good...

Wonder Woman, from what've seen, looks great. But, I'm a little antsy due to the fact that BVS sucked so badly (and I really went in trying to like it, a 50 year comic fan). JLA doesn't look really good either, looks like potential to suck as bad as BVS.

I can only hope that it's not that bad.

After Man of Steel and BvS I gave up on DC. This restores my faith a bit, but if it weren't for the awful looking Justice League combined with how irredeemably bad Synder fucked up Batman and Superman and Luthor, I'd be going nuts over DC movies right now. As is Wonder Woman looks like the anomaly, a great looking movie amongst a garbage pile.

Everything I have seen of WW from the beginning is great stuff and I hope that the movie lives up to this. Suicide Squad also looks good and I really enjoyed the JL trailer. Confidence in the DC offerings has been well and truly restored as far as I'm concerned and perhaps that's why DC aren't hiding anything. one could quite easily argue that Marvel deserves the right to go all JJA-esque on us given that they've proven that the end product usually delivers. After Man of Steel and BvS, DC

After Man of Steel and BvS, DC can't really claim the same.

Like Suicide Squad, and Justice League, this looks great. It looks like non stop action and really displays Wonder Woman's powers at great length.
