What would a TRANSFORMERS movie be without the Autobots' #1 nemesis Megatron?

Well, it'd be TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION, if we really want to be specific on the matter… so now you can understand why the main Decepticon is making a return to the Transforma-verse (I'll be copyrighting that shortly) for the fifth installment in the franchise – TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT.

It's starting. This week production. Megatron is back. #transformers #decepticons#

After taking a holiday during the last picture, Megatron is back to serve as the big baddie, because why deviate from formula when you are raking in hundreds of millions of dollars at the box office? Oh, I wasn't expecting an answer… That was purely rhetorical.

The last time we saw Megatron, he was being decapitated by Optimus Prime in the heart of Chicago, so I guess Michael Bay will have to figure out a way to give him a head once again… but that doesn't sound like too difficult a task, given how much ridiculous shit these films have asked us to buy already. I'd imagine Hugo Weaving would be back to voice the character, but then again, a new version of the character could use some freshening up. Perhaps that means a different sound. Who knows? Do we really need to analyze what's going on with a new TRANSFORMERS movie that closely? They're making it. That should cover how deep we need to think about it at this point.

TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT opens on June 23, 2017.
