Nicolas Cage The Humanity Bureau

Nicolas Cage is embarking on his next crazy journey to the silver screen in THE HUMANITY BUREAU, a global warming sci-fi thriller that will commence production this week in British Columbia. The flick will be directed by Rob W. King (Mocassin Flats, SOMETHING MORE) from a script by Dave Schultz (JET BOY). From that title at least, this sounds like the perfect project for fans of Nic Cage at his most out-of-control.

The cast will be rounded out by Sarah Lind (THE EXORCISM OF MOLLY HARTLEY), Jakob Davies (IF I STAY),  and Hugh Dillon (Flashpoint).

THE HUMANITY BUREAU is set in the year 2030 when global warming has wreaked havoc in parts of the American Midwest. In its attempt to take hold of the economic recession, a government agency called The Humanity Bureau exiles members of society deemed unproductive and banishes them to a colony known as New Eden. An ambitious and impartial caseworker (Cage) investigates a case appealed by a single mother (Lind) and her son (Davies). Knowing the unjust fate of the innocent boy, Kross sets off to save their lives and expose the truth about The Humanity Bureau’s secrets once.

Minds Eye Entertainment is producing with Bridgegate Pictures.
