Noise-y trailer

A while back, I hit you with a poster for the Tim Robbins black comedy called NOISE, about a man who goes bonkers over all the incessant sound in New York City, and decides to do something about it, vigilante-style. When I found out the director behind this interesting project, I was taken aback. Itís Henry Bean, who in 2001 directed a gold-standard indie film called THE BELIEVER, where Ryan Gosling played a Jewish skinhead. This is the manís first movie since then, and it couldnít feel more different. Check out the trailer BELOW.

Extra Tidbit: Henry Bean also wrote Basic Instinct 2.

I find it amusing that Robbins, such a liberal activist makes so many films like this, about fighting big government inaction (arlington road) or the triumph of the individual (shawshank) when he personally espouses such almost pseudo-socialist, government has all of the answers, the crowd outweighs the individual type of thinking.

When Bruce Willis makes a Die Hard movie about kicking ass for the US of A it kind of makes sense considering his personal political views.

Hmmm

I thought it would be like Falling Down, too. From the description thats what it sounds like. Oh well. It might be good for a quirky comedy.

Refershing change compared to

The Believer (2001, 8/10), but Falling Down (1992, 8/10) it is not...which was what I was expecting and kinda disappointed that I didn't get from the trailer...but Noise is definitely worth a look.

What the...

I'm not sure what I just watched. It seemed more like a sketch you would see on SNL made into a feature.
