Nolte meets Manson?

Well this just sounds like it could be about the weirdest movie ever… Nick Nolte and Marilyn Manson are set to star in an upcoming “metaphysical spaghetti western” for director Alejandro Jodorowsky and producer David Lynch. Titled KING SHOT the film apparently takes place at a casino in the desert and involves gangsters, an enormous prehistoric bone, torture and a beetle as the narrator. Feel free to go read those last sentences again. Asia Argento and Udo Kier are also set to star in the film, which just completed financing at the Cannes Film Festival. Jodorowsky directed a number of films in the 70s, a couple of which were financed by John Lennon and Yoko Ono. He was also the first director to develop a feature film based on DUNE though financing eventually evaporated and David Lynch was the one who wound up being able to get the film made (though a lot of Jodorowsky’s work inspired Ridley Scott’s ALIEN). He hasn’t directed a film since 1990’s THE RAINBOW THIEF and KING SHOT would be his self-proclaimed last film. Go for yours man!
