Norman Reedus promises a lot of turmoil to come in The Walking Dead

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

The Walking Dead isn't a show you watch to feel good about…well, anything; if you care about a character, there's a good chance that character will bite the dust before too long and very few get anything close to a pleasant moment. The second half of the sixth season of The Walking Dead seems like it will be continuing that tradition. At the close of the mid-season finale, The Walking Dead teased the arrival of one its most infamous villains, Negan. The big bad, who will be played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, won't appear until the end of the sixth season, but Norman Reedus spoke to Empire and promised that Negan won't just be standing around talking.

There’s going to be a fight, I won’t tell you who, when and where, but I can promise you a fight. All of us are about to clash with that motherf**ker. There’s a lot of turmoil in the second half of Season 6.

That Norman Reedus is never one to mince words is he? But if Negan's arrival is anywhere as messy as it was in Robert Kirkman's comic, Reedus is definitely correct; there's going to be some real shit hitting the fan. Jeffrey Dean Morgan appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers recently and teased that his character would be a "game-changer" and "the biggest ass in the world." I can't wait.

The Walking Dead returns to AMC on February 14, 2016.
