The Madison Square Garden CW panel this morning at New York Comic Con revealed an exciting insight into season 3 of RIVERDALE: we will finally get a look at Jughead’s mom. Although the character has been discussed at length by the the kids on the show, this will be the very first time viewers get a glance at Gladys Jones, played by Gina Gershon (KILLER JOE, FACE/OFF). Jughead’s sister Jellybean “JB” Jones will also make her first appearance, as portrayed by Trinity Likins (CHRISTMAS IN THE AIR, UNSPEAKABLE). The two will make their debut on December 12th, 2018.
Jughead’s mother is a businesswoman who runs the salvage yard which doubles as a Serpent compound. When she gives the Serpents an order, they all snap to attention. His sister JB is an old soul who listens to Black Sabbath and runs scams with her biker mother in Toledo. As far as con artists go, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
Based on the Archie Comics characters, RIVERDALE stars KJ Apa, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes, Cole Sprouse, Luke Perry, Madchen Amick, Marisol Nichols, Madelaine Petsch, Ashleigh Murray, Casey Cott, Mark Consuelos, and Skeet Ulrich.
RIVERDALE season three premieres Wednesday, October 10, at 8/7c on The CW.
