Olga Kurylenko and Liana Liberato join Aaron Eckhart’s action thriller The Expatriate

THE EXPATRIATE, a new action thriller starring Aaron Eckhart (THE RUM DIARY, BATTLE: LOS ANGELES), about a former CIA agent looking to start a new life with his daughter, has gained a couple of female leads.

According to Variety, young actress Liana Liberato (TRUST, “Sons of Anarchy”) has now been cast as Eckhart’s daughter, while Ukrainian hottie and former Bond girl Olga Kurylenko (THERE BE DRAGONS, CENTURION) has landed the role of Eckhart’s former partner and lover.

Here’s the story from a previous report: “Eckhart plays a former CIA agent who hopes to make a fresh start with his estranged 15-year old daughter. He takes a job in Belgium as a security expert for a multinational corporation and arrives one day to find the corporation no longer exists, his coworkers are gone, and his assistant is really a trained operative out to kill him and his daughter. Father and daughter go on the run and must learn to trust each other, something that becomes difficult once she learns the truth about his shadowy past.”

Kurylenko just recently wrapped Terrence Malick’s next and still untitled film where she stars opposite Ben Affleck, Javier Bardem, Rachel McAdams, and Rachel Weisz. The guy doesn’t make a film for six years and now he’s making two practically back-to-back. I love it!

THE EXPATRIATE – from director Philipp Stölzl (NORTH FACE, BABY) and writer Arash Amel – is currently filming in Montreal and will soon be moving to Brussels for its last leg of production.
