In news that would have been passed over had it not been for a heads up via /Film, it seems that Olivia Wilde has a part in Spike Jonze next film.

She is joining Amy Adams, Joaquin Phoenix, Rooney Mara and Samantha Morton in the untitled film about a man who falls in love with a "Siri-like" voice. Of course since her name was just dropped in the list with her co-stars then there was obviously no details on the role. The details we've gotten are that Phoenix is the guy that falls in love with the voice.

There's nothing else to note other than the fact that the international rights have been picked up by Megan Ellisonís Annapurna Pictures. Ellison is the one who helped fully fund these films: Paul Thomas Anderson's THE MASTER, Bennett Millerís FOXATCHER and Kathryn Bigelowís ZERO DARK THIRTY.

The plot synopsis sounds like a specific episode of The Big Bang Theory, but Jonze makes amazing films so look forward to seeing this.

cool!

i dig spike jonze and i'll pretty much watch anything with olivia wilde in it...so i already give it a thumbs up. it would get two thumbs up if he talks her into a nude scene.

Did Charlie Kaufman write this? It's not a requirement for me to dig a Spike Jonze movie, but it helps. Either way, Jonze had me at Sabotage and kept me with Where the Wild Things Are.
