Thrust into an all-new adventure, a down-on-his-luck Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) finds the winds of ill-fortune blowing even more strongly when deadly ghost pirates led by his old nemesis, the terrifying Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem), escape from the Devil's Triangle, determined to kill every pirate at sea… including him. Captain Jack's only hope of survival lies in seeking out the legendary Trident of Poseidon, a powerful artifact that bestows upon its possessor total control over the seas.

The above synopsis makes no mention of Will Turner, Orlando Bloom's character from the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy, but we have confirmation straight from the Disney D23 expo that he will be returning! Our own JimmyO was on-hand to take part in the madness and while there was little in the way of footage, Johnny Depp did appear in character whilst snacking on grapes. He then proceeded to ask the audience if they liked gripes, before stating, "I hate grapes!" and throwing the rest into the crowd! One could only hope to be a bystander smacked by a grape thrown by a pirate Johnny Depp! Grapes aside, we still have a bit of a wait until we see anything on this flick, so here's hoping they return the series to the original's sense of fun!

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES will sail into theaters on July 7, 2017.
