Oscar winners are...

Our man Mike Sampson will be tossing his Oscar wrap-up on to the site on Monday, but until then, check out all of the official winners below and let's all rejoice that Mr. Martin Scorsese finally freakin' got the Oscar he so much deserved. I thought the show kinda sucked overall, same problems as usual, boring songs sung, too long overall, lots of lame skits/montages that weren't all that interesting, DeGeneres was so-so (I thought Jerry Seinfeld's 2 minutes on stage were much funnier than anything she did all night) and is it or did it take them forever to get to an interesting award to start the show off?? (it took almost an hour...hey guys, we're not tuning in to see who wins Best Short Film (Animated)!!)

But alas, I can't complain too much as PAN'S LABYRINTH won 3 awards (although the man behind the film, the great Guillermo del Toro got dicked in his categories), and THE DEPARTED winning Best Picture is pretty damn cool as well (wish GOODFELLAS woulda won all those years ago though).

By the way, for anyone scoring at home (and I know 5,000+ of you entered our OSCAR PREDICTION CONTEST, so I'm sure you were), I only scored 53/100 with my picks, so here's hoping you all know your Oscar flicks a LOT better than I did. Mr. Scott Weinberg was tops in the JoBlo.com pool (that's our internal staff pool, not the one for everyone) with 81/100, with Johnny Moreno not far behind at 79/100. Not bad, gents. The night's big winner was THE DEPARTED with 4 wins, followed closely by PAN'S LABYRINTH with 3. There were a few upsets which made the night a little more interesting, like the fact that DREAMGIRLS only ended up with 2 awards...the same amount as Al Gore's AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH. Word. See ya'll next year and stay tuned to the site, as we announce (and post) the OSCAR PREDICTION CONTEST list. PS: Jack Nicholson. Too cool for school or way too into himself? Discuss amongst yourselves.
