Perhaps one of the most controversial figures to emerge from our generation is Dr. Jack Kevorkian aka Dr. Death, the king of euthanasia and newly minted ex-convict. Another controversial figure (for his roles in 88 MINUTES and RIGHTEOUS KILL) Al Pacino is set to play the doctor in the HBO films biopic titled YOU DON’T KNOW JACK.
With Barry Levinson set to direct, the film will follow Kevorkian’s rise as he builds the infamous “Mercy Machine,” conducts his first assisted suicide, and spawns a media frenzy with his epic legal battles defending his patient’s right to die. Clearly this site is no place to debate such a polarizing and incendiary topic as euthanasia, but to play devil’s advocate, I’ll just go ahead and say that I like cheeseburgers.
