Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters got one more original to appear in Annie Potts

They’ve got one… more.

Paul Feig‘s GHOSTBUSTERS reboot has landed another original cast member from the 1984 classic to join in on the festivities with Annie Potts making an appearance in the new flick. Potts, who played the Ghostbusters’ secretary Janine Melnitz, will be showing up as a hotel clerk in one scene, giving another wink and nod to fans of the first two movies who still get that warm and fuzzy feeling of nostalgia anytime they think back to the old crew.

Potts is just the latest to come aboard and, in a way, lend support for Feig’s film, which has been heavily criticized for some as either not being the real Ghostbusters or for its all-female team, which is supposed to somehow be a bad thing in the modern era. Ernie Hudson recently shot a cameo for the film before it wrapped, and we already had knowledge that Bill Murray would be making an entrance as would Dan Aykroyd. There’s even word that Slimer will be showing up and getting somewhat of an origin story. It looks as if Sigourney Weaver and Rick Moranis are the only key figures from Ivan Reitman‘s films that didn’t find a way into this new film.

Hmmm… Did anyone manage to give Slavitza Jovan a call while they were booking these appearances?

Paul Feig‘s GHOSTBUSTERS will bust some new ghosts next year on July 15.
