Paul Reiser joins horror comedy Life After Beth

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

It's been quite some time since we've heard anything on the horror comedy LIFE AFTER BETH, with our last report on the film coming way back in December of last year when it was announced that John C. Reilly and Aubrey Plaza were cast in the Jeff Baena-helmed flick. Now The Hollywood Reporter has dropped the news that the film has begun production in Los Angeles and that Paul Reiser has joined the cast.

LIFE AFTER BETH, which Baena also wrote, stars Dane DeHaan as…

a young man who struggles to continue his relationship with his girlfriend Beth, being played by Aubrey Plaza, after she resurrects from the dead.

Reiser will be playing DeHaan’s father. John C. Reilly is on board as Plaza’s dad.

Plaza has gone on record stating that LIFE AFTER BETH is "a really f*cked up movie", so I'm hoping it takes a sicker approach to the rom-zom-com subgenre than some other recent offerings (WARM BODIES, while a whole lotta fun and certainly worth seeing, comes to mind).
