Peek down Jennifer Lawrence's shirt in this still from House at the End of the Street

03.23.2012

While THE HUNGER GAMES is busy decimating the box office, actress Jennifer Lawrence is hard at work on a number of projects before she steps into Katniss' boots again.  In the upcoming HOUSE AT THE END OF THE STREET, directed by Mark Tonderai (HUSH), Lawrence plays a 17-year-old high school girl who, along with her mother (Elizabeth Shue), moves next door to a house where a family was savagely killed.  The kicker?  The only surviving son, played by Max Thieriot, is still living in the house.

Here's them bewbs:

Lawrence and Thieriot's characters befriend one another, opening the doors for a romantic relationship until Lawrence begins to find out some of his twisted past.

“Since he lives in this house and is driving down people’s home values, he’s very ostracized in this town,” Tonderai says. “The murder was committed by his sister, and she disappeared into the woods. There’s this rumor she still lives in the woods. People have seen her, and she’s insane. But is she out in the woods? And if she is, how does she feel about her brother getting involved with somebody else?”

The film attempts to explore the damage bad families can cause. “I wanted to talk about how a parent’s love can help us or hinder us in becoming the people we are,” says Tonderai.

HOUSE AT THE END OF THE STREET opens on September 21, 2012
