Another comic adaptation is on it's way, and not in the form of a superhero.

This time it's the Pied Piper. It's not the traditional childhood piper either. Based on the Hamelin fable, the tale takes a more sinister form. Written by Mike Kalvoda, the story is about an overly bullied band geek who accidentally channels the spirit of the Pied Piper which causes terrible consequences that the boy cannot control.

Publisher of Piper, Zenescope Entertainment is teaming up with Persistent Entertainment (SOUTHLAND TALES, PASSENGERS), and Pantry Films to produce. Producing for Pantry Films, Dan Keston just finished up with FELON, an film starring Val Kilmer and Stephen Dorff and PETE SMALLS IS DEAD with Peter Dinklage, Tim Roth, and Steve Buscemi. Matthew Rhodes, who is working with Persistent is responsible for producing Richard Kelly's SOUTHLAND TALES as well as the upcoming NAILED with Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Biel.

Zenescope was founded in 2005, and has quickly gained a following and critical acclaim. In addition to The Piper, the company is well known for publishing darker versions of popular folk and fairy tale stories.

Two Naileds? One with Gyllenhaal and Beil and one with Kilmer (you wrote Kimer btw) and Dorff (not Doriff)? Or is that the same movie? Or did you get one of the titles wrong? Confused.

I failed. The one with Kilmer and Dorff (I always think there's an i in his name) is FELON.
