Pine now Unstoppable
The article's title works on two levels because after the enormous critical and financial success of J.J. Abrams' rebooted STAR TREK, star Chris Pine is, for the time being, at least, unstoppable as young Hollywood A-list. He also happens to be in talks to star opposite Denzel Washington in the upcoming Tony Scott directed thriller UNSTOPPABLE. In the film, Washington will play a veteran train engineer about to be laid off who teams up with his young replacement (Pine) in order to stop an "unmanned, half-mile-long freight train carrying enough combustible liquids and poisonous gas to wipe out a nearby city." This is quite the nebulous time for Pine right now. His phone is probably ringing off the hook with every producer under the sun wanting him in their flick and depending on his choices, his career can go the illustrious and respectable Matt Damon route or the unfortunate Ben Affleck route. A Tony Scott thriller co-starring Denzel Washington is certainly a step in the right direction. At least in theory.
