Pirate Greengrass? | Movie News
Earlier this year, we slapped you with some knowledge on DreamWorks' plan to bring real life Caribbean pirate Blackbeard aka Edward Teach to the big screen. They had already brought AMISTAD and GLADIATOR scribe David Franzoni on board to pen the high seas adventure and now the folks at IGN have uncovered a posting on Mania.com claiming that DreamWorks is looking to BOURNE ULTIMATUM director and all around filmmaking genius Paul Greengrass to direct the pillaging and swashbuckling. And if that's the case, yes! Sweet Lord, yes! If it does happen, though, it may not be for quite a while as Greengrass is currently in post-production on THE GREEN ZONE.
