Pirate Radio poster

Here we have a new poster for the pile of feel-goodery that is sure to be Richard Curtis’ PIRATE RADIO, which tells the vaguely true story of a rogue vessel of DJs that broadcast rock and roll during the ’60s after the British government had banned it from the airways. The film is said to be “inspired by true events,” my least favorite movie tagline addendum, and sadly, a lot of it is made up or exaggerated. But I think I’m probably just going to pretend this all actually happened, as it’s much more fun than the actual history.

The poster shows the DJs walking the plank in surreal photoshop fashion, and makes me think just how very much I wouldn’t like to be on a thin piece of wood with Nick Frost behind me. Though it doesn’t say it on the poster, PIRATE RADIO hits the States November 13th.
