Strike Back below!

Quentin Tarantino's INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS is preparing to slay audiences this month at Cannes, and AICN has a look at what I hope will be a series of character posters from the flick, starting with oddly mustachioed scar-necked scalphunter Brad Pitt.

Click that mug to check out the full deal. Also below is a snap of Pitt's Aldo Raine and his cutting implement of preference, from EW's summer preview.

Extra Tidbit: BASTERDS reportedly runs 2 hours and 40 minutes.

I predict a B movie campfest - in a bad way
sorry but the more I hear about this movie, the more I think it's going to be a cheesy exploration in film geek fetishism and it's going to try way, way, way too hard to be cool. Tarantino's best days are long gone sadly. He gone from being cool and edgy to being as campy a director as John Waters (which isn't bad per se but it doesn't appeal to me much).

Who wants to bet that...

Who wants to bet that there will be at least a five minute sequence in this film prominently featuring women's feet?

The pics look pretty cool and fairly representative of Pitt's character in the film. The script was a pretty good read and entertaining so 2h40m isn't a big deal considering the script was 163 pgs. I will say though the strongest story in the script isn't Pitt's character so I'm curious to see how it all plays out for the audiences.

I'm a big Brad Pitt fan, but in that first photo he looks like a kid mugging in front of a mirror. Maybe once we see him in action it will be better, but right now....kinda lame.

These pics look like shit. I'm still going to see the movie of course. But I liked the casting in it's earlier films better...

Brad Pitt looks laughable in the trailer and Poster...

Not bad. But I remember hearing that he was splitting it into two parts. With the run time, I'm wondering if that's true. Does anyone know?

Wow i think this poster is horrible(like i always say though, its only my opinion of course). Just saying I think theres just, nothing going on in this pic; its Brad Pitt in a uniform smilin like a dummy, with a kool neck scar none-the-less, but its totally boring and not doing a thing for me. Besides that though I AM looking foward to this movie anywayz...not going to let a poster judge the...

Baddddd Ahhssssss. I can't wait to hear what the Cannes crowd thinks of this, but I would have bought my ticket ten years ago if I could have.

2hrs 40mins? wow, well I hope its fucking good. Brad Pitt seems like he really liked playing this character which is cool. and if that scar on his throat is from him surviving getting his throat slit then thats awesome haha.

Nice to know some things don't change. Like the run-time of Tarantino's movies. Ever since "Pulp Fiction" he's been known to go a little heavy on the length. And with writing like his, that's probably a good thing. Really, if it weren't for his trademark characters I probably would've given "Kill Bill" a pass. I think it may have worked against him on "Death Proof," though in its favor, that...
