A new Roman Polanski thriller starring the always-awesome-no-matter-what-film-he's-in Ewan McGregor? How the hell did THAT get under my radar?

THE GHOST, co-starring Pierce Brosnan, Timothy Hutton and Kim Cattrall, centers on Ewan as a ghostwriter who's research for the memoirs of a former British Prime Minister uncovers things that put his life on the line.

The teaser that crept online isn't much -about 15 seconds- but is quite enough to plant the seed of great interest. Have a look for yourself, right down here. Otherwise, the film from Summit Entertainment (those guys are EVERYWHERE since Twilight...) doesn't have a release date yet. Too bad.

Extra Tidbit: I still have a hard time understanding how and why Polanski ended up involved with Rush Hour 3. Either he's losing it, or he was really strapped for cash...

Polanski is simply one of the finest directors ever. And what a cast! Timothy Hutton is so underrated it's not funny.

Mamma Mia aside, has anyone else seen Brosnan's post-Bond performances? He's really grown into a very strong screen actor. Bond brought out the best in him and he seems to be going from strength to strength.
