Not many people outisde of Canada have anything invested in the work of cult director Bruce McDonald, but the director of HARDCORE LOGO and THE TRACY FRAGMENTS has time and time again proven that he's an exciting cinematic talent mired in the obscurity of a low profile industry. His latest film PONTYPOOL takes place in a basement radio station in the town of Pontypool, Ontario, where the local shock jock starts getting disturbing calls from outside warning him that something's gone terribly wrong with the people of the quiet town. McDonald's first forray into full blown horror may finally be the film that signals his arrival to the rest of the world. Then again, maybe not, eh?

Saw this at SXSW and it was okay. I dug the beginning setup but wasn't to keen on the last 30 minutes or so.

Loved this flick. Can't wait to get myself a copy... legally of course. :) Bets on how many months, or years it'll take?

GOOD MOVIE
I had the good fortune to work on this film. It's really good. Think it's only opening on 2 screens in the states though, New York and LA. Maple really dropped the ball on the distribution...you'll never see another zombie movie like it it's definitely worth seeing. Check out the clips and trailer on youtube or on the website.
