There doesn't seem to be much that Natalie Portman isn't capable of handling, everything from period films to asskicking action. So a combination of those elements shouldn't be a problem!

The lovely lady will become a machine of lethal grace with a seething hatred for the shambling deceased in an adaptation of the hit parody book PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES, in which writer Seth Grahame-Smith remixed Jane Austen's literary classic with "bone-crunching zombie action".

Portman will play heroine Elizabeth Bennet, who now finds her attention divided between the supercilious Mr. Darcy and her own war against the hordes of flesh-munching undead, and frilly dresses get messy with rotting brain chunks.

The Lionsgate movie will be produced by Portman's production company handsomecharlie, along with Richard Kelly's Darko Films.

It's about time the costume drama got a dose of being turned on its ear. With Ms. Portman in it, this movie's stock went up 100 points.

Yes, Portman is that hot. Hot isn't really the right adjective though, she's just flat out beautiful. Sounds like a cool movie too.

Loved the book, love Natalie Portman as an actor (and she's really freakin' easy on the eyes, too); I have high hopes for this film.
