Jamie Pressly has signed on to co-star in the upcoming DreamWorks comedy I LOVE YOU, MAN. Pressly will star alongside Jason Segel (FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL), Paul Rudd and Rashida Jones in the comedy that, shockingly, isn’t a Judd Apatow production. I LOVE YOU instead was written and will be directed by John Hamburg who wrote MEET THE PARENTS and directed ALONG CAME POLLY. In the film, Rudd play a guy getting married to a woman (Jones) who’s having difficulty picking who will be his best man. So he decides to go on “man-dates” to find a best man. Segel will play one of the more aggressive suitors of the gig. Pressly will play the Maid of Honor and best friend to the bride-to-be. It’s another step in the surprising resurrection of Jamie Pressly who just a few years ago was starring in DEMON ISLAND and KARATE DOG (as well as some NSFW spreads in Playboy). She nabbed a starring gig on “My Name Is Earl” and eventually won an Emmy for Best Supporting Actress for that role. Filming on I LOVE YOU is expected to begin next month.
