Princess & Frog clips

I'm grateful that Pixar honcho John Lasseter took the reins of all Disney's animation -- the Mouse House seemed content to let traditional animation go into cryogenic storage (or at least direct to DVD), but Lasseter fortunately breathed life back into the hand-drawn carcass.

Otherwise we probably wouldn't have seen THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG, a gorgeous-looking old-school 'toon (with some subtle computer animation incorporated) about a New Orleans girl and her amphibious adventure. Plus Randy Newman tunage and the great Keith David voicing the villain.

Check out a clip and featurette below. The movie opens in December.

Extra Tidbit: Besides 2D, Lasseter is bringing the Pooh back to theaters. And Tigger, too!

Yes. Yes. YES!

We have been sorely needed this from Disney for a long, loooooong time. It's one thing when a great CGI movie liek Toy Story or Monsters, Inc. comes out, but most of it has been total tripe, and I have been thrilled about this since I heard of it.

I'm all over this flick

John Lasseter deserves freakin' sainthood for bringing back old-school Disney animation. If this movie is as good as the buzz suggests, this could be the start of another 'renaissance' at the Mouse House.

This looks fantastic. I'm beyond excited to see that Disney's still got it after all these years. There's just nothing like old school animation.
