Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Lots of filming details on a few big productions have dropped, including info on JURASSIC WORLD, FANTASTIC FOUR, and TERMINATOR: GENESIS, all of which are semi or full-on reboots of classic franchises. Filming start dates and locations have been revealed via Production Weekly, which will all be in the same area and time frame. Check out the details below:

JURASSIC WORLD – starts filming on June 2, 2014 in Louisiana (although it's been reported that some filming is starting in Kauai, Hawaii in March). Directed by Colin Trevorrow, the current unconfirmed cast is Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins, Jake Johnson, and Chris Pratt. It's set for release on June 12, 2015.

FANTASTIC FOUR – starts filming on March 31, 2014 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The Josh Trank directed film has yet to confirm a cast, but Miles Teller, Allison Williams, and Michael B. Jordan have all been rumored as contenders. It's set for release on June 19, 2015.

TERMINATOR: GENESIS: starts filming on April 21, 2014 in New Orleans, Louisiana. THOR: THE DARK WORLD director Alan Taylor is directing with Emilia Clarke playing Sarah Connor and Arnold Schwarzenegger returning as the T-800. It's set for release on July 1, 2015.

So, three big-budget blockbusters filming in Louisiana on the heels of each other and, as of right now, all of them opening within just a few weeks of each other in 2015. Should make for some friendly competition in and around Louisiana, eh?

Which of the three films are you most looking forward to?
