Check out this profile video of Quicksilver from X-Men: Days of Future Past

05.09.2014

The X-Men flicks have a hard task in juggling all the mutants in each film, let alone what they can show you of them in the trailers.  There's been some interesting discussion given that Quicksilver will be in both X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST and AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON.  An interesting coincidence is that while Aaron Taylor-Johnson will portray him in Joss Whedon's opus, his Kick-Ass co-star, Evan Peters, is tackling the character for Bryan Singer.  If anything, it'll be interesting to see how two different film studios and directors take on the same character.  There's only two weeks left until you get your mutant fix, and to help curb that appetite, here's a profile video of Twentieth Century Fox's version of Quicksilver, courtesy of Total Film.

Check out the Total Film exclusive here:

Initially, the hair was a turnoff (both Quicksilvers seem to have that issue with me) but in this video, we get a glimpse at his attitude, which gives him some nice character (love that bit with the hat).  Crazy super fast antics aside, the closer we get to the release date, the more excited I am for a Bryan Singer-directed X-Men movie.  Not to set any high expectations, but the man delivered one of the best of the genre with X2.  CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER has been the comic book film to beat this year for me, so let's see if X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST can rise to the challenge.

The film launches in theaters May 23, 2014.

Well the verdict seems to be pretty general that this is actually the best X-film ever! If so that really shows what an incredibly lousy job they did with their publicity campaign, which almost made the film seem cheap.

@The_Soloist, I've read that too and one that Singer had to have in the movie. After that glimpse, it looks like a pretty cool sequence that's used perfectly. It's a shame they've shown soo much for DOFP, but I think they've done that to reassure fans that this is going to be an epic X film

I don't think they've shown us TOO much. I just hope we get plenty of Sentinel action and I can't wait to see what mutants they kill off only to bring them back again towards later in the film.

From what I've been reading, the scene where he helps break out Magneto is the highlight of the film. And from this little snippet, the scene does look pretty badass.

Will he be referenced as Magneto's son is this or have they changed that part of the story?

The escape scene is easily the best use of the 3D in the film, and a very fun one. It gives Peter (a shame he's never called Pietro) a "brat but nice" touch.
And yes, there is an allusion to the possibility of him being Magneto's child.
