While her husband Darren Aronofsky is filming the spooky thriller BLACK SWAN in New York City, Rachel Weisz is heading up to Toronto for some scares of her own. The actress has signed on to star in DREAM HOUSE the upcoming thriller that would have her co-starring with Daniel Craig and Naomi Watts.

In the film, Weisz and Craig would play a successful New York couple who relocate to a "quaint" New England town and when that happens in a scary movie, you know what that means: shit ain't exactly all that quaint. Turns out their new home was previously occupied by a woman and her two children who were murdered. Watts will play a neighbor who might have some insight as to what exactly happened in the house.

Jim Sheridan (BROTHERS, MY LEFT FOOT) is directing the project, which has talent befitting an Oscar caliber flick - so why the AMITYVILLE HORROR redux plot? I'm guessing there's a lot more to the story that they're trying to keep secret but if anyone has read the David Loucka script, feel free to fill me in. Filming on DREAM HOUSE began this past weekend in Toronto.

Extra Tidbit: Loucka previously wrote the Whoopi Goldberg comedy EDDIE. Uh-oh.

Solid cast.

It's funny that Daniel Craig should star in a haunted house movie; I was reading the Phil Rickman novel 'Candlenight' which, among other things, features hauntings in a house in Wales, and I thought of Daniel Craig playing one of the main characters, Giles, from the first page he was mentioned. Fitting he should still get some kind of feature in such a movie, after all.

premise doesn't sound any good at all, but as you say if it can attract that kind of talent then there must be something more to it, whether that fact that it's actually good or that they're all taking big paychecks
