Rainn a Renaissance man

Rainn Wilson will star in, co-write and produce the upcoming Universal comedy RENAISSANCE MEN for producer Jay Roach (MEET THE PARENTS, BORAT). The film will follow two community theater actors who believe they accidentally killed a friend. They go in hiding at a nearby Renaissance fair to comedic effect. Says Wilson, "It's a bit like WE'RE NO ANGELS, only funny, and in a Renaissance fair." Wilson will write the script with Matt Ross, an actor you might not think had much of a comedic knack considering roles in "Big Love" and AMERICAN PSYCHO. For an actor that hasn't had any of his starring films actually released yet, Wilson certainly is in high demand. He just recently wrapped his first feature starring role in Fox's THE ROCKER and has another Fox project, BONZAI SHADOWHANDS, in the works for director Jason Reitman (THANK YOU FOR SMOKING). On the big screen Wilson can be seen later this year in Reitman's JUNO and he's recently returned to filming on Season 4 of NBC's "The Office." And considering how well that cast is doing in films, how long are they going to be able to keep Wilson, Steve Carell, Jenna Fischer and John Krasinski together?

Extra Tidbit: Wilson was nominated for a Supporting Actor Emmy this year.
