I wrote about this over a year ago, but now we have a studio involved, as Fox Searchlight has acquired the rights to Jen Sacks' novel 'Nice'. The project is being developed as a potential starring vehicle for Reese Witherspoon. The dark comedy is about a magazine writer who accidentally kills her boyfriend. She finds a way to get rid of the body and discovers that killing boyfriends is easier than breaking up with them.

I can't be the only one who thinks that Witherspoon is perfect for this role. Not because she's nice, but because she is a completely believable serial killer. There is evil behind those eyes. Chicks this cute aren't born, they're manufactured by the CIA for spec ops undercover work.

Reese is a fine actress. one of the few in my opinion. she can act what ever roll she wants. I will always watch her. she just knows how to pull you into sitting down and watching her no matter what the roll is.

Considering it's a black comedy, I'm gonna have to cite "Election," because Tracy Flick was a conniving bitch who had to be stopped at any cost, and wasn't. In fact, I've been waiting for Reese to revisit those dark, unflattering roles since "Legally Blonde" solidified her as a more commercial actress.
