Rethink your heroes with the latest poster for Transformers: The Last Knight

The first trailer for TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT hit last Monday and provided all of the explosions and vague exposition you'd expect from such a film, with one exception; Optimus Prime turning on Bumblebee. It looks like it's time to to rethink our heroes as the latest poster would suggest! Take a look at Optimus getting ready to lay the smack down on one, unsuspecting Transformer!

Transformers The Last Knight Optimus Prime poster

While I'm generally fine with the very "black and white" approach the series takes with its Transformers and Decepticons, I admittedly like the idea of Optimus being used for evil. Sure, he'll be turned back to good before the end credits roll and all will be well with Bumblebee, but at least it's some sort of dynamic in this damn series. I mean, more so than Mark Wahlberg's hair growing out a little bit.

TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT opens in theaters on June 23, 2017.

Maybe Optimus Prime is under some kind of spell that forces him to be evil.

Gee like I haven't seen that angle before. Isn't Fast 8 doing the exact same thing?

I forget, doesn't Bumblebee die in Transformers: the movie? Or was he one of the few G1 survivors

I think he gets sucked out of a spaceship but survives somehow, although I think in some of the G1 comics he gets destroyed and rebuilt as Goldbug, so its a little confusing.

Most of G1 Transformers died in the movie but Bumblebee, Perceptor and Jazz survived.
