Not content with pumping out amazing original shows, Netflix is also scooping up films left and right. Next on the Netflix movie docket is SPECIAL CORRESPONDENTS. The story follows a radio journalist (Eric Bana) and his technician (Ricky Gervais) get in over their heads when they hatch a scheme to fake their own kidnapping during a rebel uprising in South America and hide out in New York instead. Eric Bana proved to have some great comedic chops in FUNNY PEOPLE, so I'm curious to see how well he plays off of Ricky Gervais. This trailer wasn't particularly laugh-out-loud funny, but home viewing provides a much more susceptible environment for films that wouldn't necessarily warrant a theatrical viewing. How else could you explain the views THE RIDICULOUS 6 garnered?
