Ridley Scott and Kevin Macdonald's worldwide YouTube project Life in a Day now has some promo art and a synopsis

If you've been wondering at all about the Ridley Scott-produced, Kevin Macdonald-directed YouTube project LIFE IN A DAY, then we've got a couple of little nuggets for you today, courtesy of the guys at Collider.

Below you'll find some new promo art and a synopsis for the experimental documentary found at last week's American Film Market in Los Angeles. I've also embeded a video taken from the official LIFE IN A DAY YouTube page that I guess is sort of a trailer for the film. Be sure to check that out below (and head over there to see a lot more on the making of the project).

LIFE IN A DAY will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival and on YouTube in January 2011.

Life in a Day is a historic global event to create the first user generated feature film documenting a single day on Earth. It’s a unique time capsule that will tell future generations what it was like to be alive on the 24th of July 2010. On that day, people around the world captured a moment of their lives on camera and over 80,000 videos were uploaded to YouTube.

Academy Award winning director Kevin Macdonald and producer Ridley Scott have teamed up to tell a highly emotional story from the submitted footage.

Extra Tidbit: So did anyone here make a submission for the doc?
