Ridley Scott finally breaks the silence surrounding Prometheus
![]()
Two sidebars before we dive in: 1) It's always possible that there was something amiss with the translation from Hungarian to English of what Ridley Scott said to the Hungarian movie news outlet that broke this, and so information may have been left out or written down incorrectly. 2) There are are some spoilers ahead, so if you're the kind of person who enjoyed knowing nothing at all about PROMETHEUS I would suggest that you go elsewhere.
This is currently unconfirmed insofar as official channels go, so do with that fact as you will. If this really is true I don't know why Scott wouldn't release a statement in English too, but...
"When the first Alien movie and Blade Runner were made, I thought that in the near future the world will be owned by large companies. This is why we have the Tyrell Corporation in Blade Runner, and Weyland-Yutani in Alien. They sent the Nostromo spaceship. The Prometheus is owned by an entrepreneur called Peter Weyland, and is played by Guy Pearce. That’s the connection between the two films, and nothing more. Prometheus is a new film, a new world, and is full of new ideas. And of course new monsters as well."
Bearing in mind that Pearce told MTV News this past January that he is in PROMETHEUS "only for a minute," this could both work and not work with the new information revealed above. Though I feel like the owner of PROMETHEUS' ill fated ship would have a larger role than Pearce describes (perhaps in a sequel?), so we'll see. That's all anyone can say really. We'll see. And soon too, as you can catch PROMETHEUS and have everyone hear you scream this coming July 8th.
| Extra Tidbit: | If true, is this the sort of "connective tissue" you were hoping for between ALIEN and PROMETHEUS? |

the right way
My take on Prometheus
However something goes wrong somewhere and the organism inside the egg gets to the space jockey sitting on the chair and lays its embryo inside the space jockey itself. Ultimately the space jockey then is the host for something totally different than what the huge blue guys were expecting. The different outcome is actually the alien Queen. This is where the Alien Queen came from. Because all the other human hosts give birth to the same looking xenomorph and never a queen exempt for the horrible Alien 3 but besides that.
And that is how it is linked to the Alien world because it will reveal to us how exactly the Xenomorph to be more specific the Alien Queen came to be through a mistake from the big blue guys and through the Space Jockey host. Which leads to an Alien Queen being left at LV-426 to lead us to Alien and into Aliens.
Not entirely true...
